Friday 18th September 2015 School Council Meeting

Today the school council took photographs of the new year 1 classrooms and the new Communication Stations. They then asked children from year 1 and 2 what they thought of these new areas.  Here are a few of the things they said.

"Its shiny and new"
"We like it because it has lots of toys"
"Its is lots of fun"
"even better if we have some more puzzles"
"even better if we have some more creative stuff"

Friday 25th September 2015 School Council

We evaluated the school meals.  Overall we really like the school meals but do have some ideas and other things we would like to change.
"some dips like ketchup please"
"milk as well as water as a drink"
"for packed lunches and school dinners to be able to sit together"

Some Midday Supervisors also came to our meeting and would like suggestions of how to keep the noise level down in the hall when we are eating lunch.
We said;
"play some music"
"poster ups to remind us to be quiet and use our manners"
"the traffic lights which go red when its too loud"

Friday 9th October 2015 School Council Meeting

School council went into the hall with the FS stage children to help them with their lunchtime.
We helped them cut up their dinner, open food packets, scrap their plates and gave out stickers.
After helping them we made posters to remind all the children in the school how to behaviour in the hall at lunchtimes.
Our reminders included;
using "please" and "thank you"
picking up litter
eating quietly

Friday 16th October 2015 School Council Meeting

Some of the School Governors attended our meeting.
We were able to show them what we have been doing using the school website, our school council book that is kept in the school reception and finally our school council board in the hall.
They were very impressed with all our hard work.
We were able to ask the Governors about how they supported our school.

Friday 16th October 2015 School Council Meeting

This was our last meeting as school council this term and next term we will elect new members.
In assembly we all received certificates for our hard work.

Friday 6th November 2015 School Council Meeting

We made posters for the playground to remind the children of the 'School Rules'.  We have displayed them on the doors out to the playground.

Friday 13th November 2015 School Council Meeting

We wrote a letter to GSS who provide our school meals asking if we could have a ketchup with our lunch on Fridays.  We shall let you know when we receive a reply from them.

We also helped the office staff to sort the post and made sure it was delivered to the correct person.  We thought it would be good if children could help the office staff once a week to do this.

Friday 11th December was our last meeting of this term.

Thank you and well done to the School Councillors.

We invite Foundation Stage to join our School Council after Christmas.  We wrote each class an invitation and then did a presentation telling them about all the things we have done.  We look forward to them joining us we are sure they will have lots of lovely ideas.
